• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wanting to get a good communication device for passenger to driver. Have the old wire kind and tired of plugging in cords. What are the best helmet wireless devices that you people use for communication.

Thanks

Top two...

Scala Rider G9 and Sena (sponsor on home page) are the top two. You will find others but not many reviews on them. Chatterbox would be next etc. We have G9's and love them..intercom, gps, mp3, phone, FM radio and up to 8 other ryders can be connected. I have never used others but there are those that can give you their views...

Check out the Sena systems from Motorcycle Dave a sponsor on this site. We have the SMH-10 headsets and they work well.

the Sena MH10 works great

Sena's all the way!

I would recommend the SENA SMH10's just like the others have. Started with a set set of Scala Cardo Q2's, but had consistent communication drops between the headsets, plus LOTS of wind noise over 45mph. Switched to the SMH10's and love them - good clear communication (even at highway speeds) and use them for the GPS and CB (connected via Bluetooth using the SENA SMH10R dongle mounted in the trunk.

Sena's are the best hands down!

Set of Sena SMH5-FM's since day one. Love them. The FM option really pleases the Wife when she wants to hear music different than what I am listening to :)

Sena 20s Here

We have the Sena 20s and like them. The 20s is the latest model from Sena and may have a few more features.

I have had both the Scala G9 and the Sena 20S. When they work they are great. I bought my Scala from Cycle Gear and they were great to deal with anytime I had problems. They easily exchanged the units for working ones on several occasions over a 3 year period. I can't say the same for Sena.

not happy with Uclear...

We originally bought a set of Uclear HBC100plus, but we had a less than satisfactory experience with them. We bought a set of SMH10's for Christmas.and they're fantastic! Uclear's are just sitting in a box.....

Im the only one not using Sena i guess lol. I use Blinc 2 systems found builtin to either Vcan, torc, or oneil helmets, built in so no wires or big pieces hanging on the side of your helmet. However it only works helmet to helmet to about 30 or 35 miles an hour, its more for when your slowing down or stopping, which way do you want to go, do you want to stop that kind of thing. the music/GPS etc. work great up to about 80 but the helmet to helmet only at lower speeds. However they are pretty cheap and i love the built in sun visor on the torc...

I have used Scala and currently use Sena10's as our communication device of choice. Going on the third year with my Sena's. The Sena's have been upgraded to 20's so not sure if you can buy previous iterations.

My preference is Sena. They hold a charge longer and are a bit less noisy than the Scala. Have not had any issues with either brand though.
