• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Communicating with Jan on a new RT Limited

We use Vega V-Comm wireless helmets...we can talk bike to bike as long as we're within 1500 ft of each other. Has bluetooth, etc. Previously used J&M Audio wired system when we were on the same bike. I'd have to say I prefer wireless over wired.

I'm pretty happy with the BRP OEM wired system.
I've got GPS, Music, Intercom, and with the dongle, Cell Phone.

I preferred a wired system because with everything I already have (cell phone, iPOD, netbook) I don't need to worry about keeping my HELMETS charged up. I've already got more than enough of those little vampire chargers.

Just my opinion. I could be wrong.

I asked the same question months ago.Read all various posts and from what I gleaned purchased the sena10.Am delighted with them and relatively inexpensive.

Coal in the sock !

1+ I've NEVER understood this. When I ride, I want to hear the wind and occasionally tunes. Period. I don't want to talk to other drivers, passengers, or squirrels in passing trees. But, then I'm the guy that TURNS OFF his phone in ANY vehicle.

You want to talk? Stop, talk, then shut up and ride….

MERRY CHRISTMAS !! :chat:

Lots of folks ride to escape the world a bit. There is nothing wrong with that, and nothing to defend. Others find some music relaxing, including myself. Some people need to remain wired-in, with cell phones, GPS, and bike-to-bike added to the mix.

:agree: The Missus and I use the intercom so that we can anoy each other... and I keep my music at high volume to scare away the mosquitoes. ;)

But the outside World doesn't enter the "SpyderZone"

we have the old scala team set and would like to hear radio through the headset is this possible. i synced our phone to it and it works great...also if the phone rings or i am talking to the other rider does the music volume cut off until the conversation is over??

Well, finally got to take the Sena Smh10D-10s out for a few rides. Very good for performance in this headset. Have never used any others so cannot make comparisons. Little or no wind noise just depending upon how we have the visor on the helmets. I actually think there is an added safety using these headsets because now when my wife shows me something I actually know what she's talking about don't have to take my eyes off the road so long to guess. And the company is nice after all that is why we ride together!

You need the Sena Bluetooth Dongle, it hooks to the wiring of the bike and pairs with your headsets.

i agree with you bob, we still use a scala teamset. i know they are old and out dated. i guess we are due to modernize but i still beleive in the words : if it aint broke, dont fix it!!!:...happy chatting!!!

I'd recommend the Uclear: No boom mic. Mic built into speakers. Very clear reception. Firmware updates download when available. Web site www.uclear-digital.com

Take a good, hard look at your helmet before pulling the trigger on the Uclear: Their combined speakers/microphones are very large.

Make sure they fit in your helmet's speaker recessed area. It turned out to be a deal breaker with my Nolan helmet. It would have been my first choice, but they just would not fit.

...Ben...
