• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone running the Can Am Comfort seat? If so do you recommend it. My 14 RS-S gets a tad hard after 4 hours or so. Thanks in advance from Advance.

I do..!!

We have an RS and switched to the comfort seat and are very happy with it. Gives you a couple of inches to slide back and the passenger sets a bit higher and leans back more. Wife is happy even though she lost some seat room. With the backrest shes fine...but if you can find someone with one you can try it would be great. Butts are like finger prints...:roflblack:

Installed a BRP comfort seat on both my 2009 RS and 2011 RT. Better than the OEM BRP seat. The comfort seat offers a little more support than the mushier OEM versions.

I just ordered one!

Interesting to hear it's longer, hopefully the bar reach isn't too much further!
And the OEM RS seat is pretty damn hard and misshapen, not soft at all.

The Comfort Seat has a firmer cushion not softer than the OEM seat... but, it's shaped more like your buttocks so the fit of butt cheeks into seat saddle is better. It's not day vs night difference, but it is a worthwhile upgrade. IMHO.

Regards!

Well the comfort seat I got is way softer seat foam and cover material, much softer. I am not sure why the disparity, but I just compared the 2. I wonder how you got a comfort seat that is firmer than the hard oem seat?

Not a clue... it may be that my 2012 RS model Spyder came with a much softer OEM seat than the year model you started out with?

My very 1st impression upon sitting on the new Comfort Seat was that it was MUCH firmer than my OEM seat though. The stitching and pads are prettier than the OEM seat (which was very plain of course). That's all I know though. I don't think the difference was night-n-day however, I could have continued with the OEM seat for many more years/miles without too much complaint.
