• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A big shout out to Florida Steve for his advise on bar end mirrors. I should now be able see traffic around me better both with and without my camping trailer.

Also received my Russell Day Long saddle back on 3/16.

When I can get it together will add some photos.

Very nice...

Seat looks great and the mirrors will be a great help. I installed the up and out spacers when I got the RS and solved my problem but I don't pull a trailer. Should work nice. Do they flip in when you are parked ?? It all looks very nice.....:2thumbs:

Thanks Gene for the compliment. The mirrors are adjustable with an allen wrench; how ever they ran, less than $40.00 with the stainless steel bolts and plastic sleeve/shims which were purchased locally @ ace hardware. The seat; now that's another whole different matter as to costs. :yikes::yikes::ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

Those mirrors look tidy on there and it must be nice to see behind you rather than just admiring your own elbows:-)

At one point I was thinking of adding bar end mirrors and ditching the normal ones but the stumbling block was coming up with an alternative for the turn indicators that would be legal but tidier.

Why not keep the originals and add the bar ends?? Then you have it all covered:thumbup::thumbup:

I fancied ditching them because I think it would improve the look of the front of the RS. Would look a bit lower and sleeker.

Mind you I was also thinking about how to drop the bars downwards a bit to be more like ace bars or clip-ons (most other people fit risers:-))

What I'd really like to build is a café racer Spyder but not enough time in the day for another project.
