Columbus Day......Riding in New England

For all those who rode yesterday in New England......WASN'T IT A GREAT RIDING DAY ???
Here in Vermont, there won't be many, if any, good riding days left for this season.

About noontime yesterday, I took the wife on the RTS and rode up Route 100, then headed west on Route 17. Stopped at a café in Bristol for a late lunch, then headed South on Route 116 to Route 125. Headed east, and stopped at Texas Falls, hooked back up to Route 100 South to 100A, and home.
Absolutely a beautiful, most enjoyable ride. The foliage is just past peak, but still colorful.

Went to a snowmobile show friday night and rode the Spyder next.

RT 125 GOING EAST

:yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:......The bottom western side of the mountain heading east has to be my all-time favorite ... " Twistie's " road in Vermont ......I have managed to do that 4 -5 miles @ a steady 55+ MPH speed on dry days ..one-up on my RT../....In 2016 I am going to see if a small group of " SPYDERQUEST'ERS "......are willing to follow me on this and a few other technical roads :gaah: :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack: .............Mike :thumbup:

What was the name of the café in Bristol that you stopped @ for lunch? Deanna

Yes it was a great day for a ride, went to Gloucester,Ma. And from there got on to 1A up into Maine for a late lunch. Wish there were going to be a few more days like that this season.

I will follow you on that ride "IF" we can go next year. I love the spirited fast paced rides through the twisties. I should find out in the next week or so my work schedule for next year.

Are you saying you maintained 55 mph around the picnic table turn? This I would have to see.

I got out for a nice 150 mile ride up to lake George, it was perfect out, not to hot and not a cloud in the sky
