• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Going to the colorado springs area (manitou springs) in the next two weeks and looking for any great roads not to miss. Pikes peak is at the top of my list.....

Thanks

There isn't a bad motorcycle road in Colorado, I swear. Lots of good roads listed on the Internet...try a Google search. One of the good references is http://www.motorcyclecolorado.com/. There is a great book, The Complete Guide to Motorcycling Colorado by Steve Farson. Bultler maps has a good map, bundled with the Farson book if you wish. http://www.butlermaps.com/Motorcycle-Road-Maps/36/Colorado-Map-%26-Motorcycling-Colorado-Book. Any good road map of Colorado lists numerous desiganted scenic roads. Have a great ride!

That area has had a lot of wildfires so you may want to see if any of the places you are wanting to visit are open or closed.

Thanks for the great web pages. Did get some great routes printed out and look forward to the trip.....Thanks again

Just be careful going to manitou springs. if it is raining they will have a lot of the roads closed because of flash flooding through highway 24 because of the fire they had. Otherwise there are few bad roads here in Colorado. be safe and have a good trip.

If you go to Cripple Creek, a warning regarding ST HWY 1 West out of Cripple Creek to complete loop back to 24. When we were in CO in June one of our group ended the trip with four nails in his rear tire:mad:. A local informed us, after the fact, that many local mines of the area move portable buildings on that road and the nails shake out of those buildings.

It's a great ride but has its risks.
