• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cold Rotax Fix

I've always let the Spyder warm up to 1-2 bars before taking off as recommended by my dealer.

On a few ocassions I have taken right off before letter the Rotax warm up - only to find the expected sputter and stalling.

Today I was running late for a meeting, so I just jumped on the Spyder and took off while still cold - I mean I literally was on the road within 15 seconds of starting it up.

Guess what- NO sputter or stalling at all - Spyder ran just FINE!

The only change I have made recently is the Fuel Pressure Mod - which I'm currently running at 60psi. The stock BRP setting was at 50psi.

So while I still think it's good to let the Rotax heat up and get that oil flowing prior to taking off - it appears the Fuel Pressure Mod takes care of the problem.

Note: You cannot install the fuel pressure mod with the stock airbox - you have to also install the race airflow setup from Evoluzione.

A person *might* be able to install the fuel pressure mod and just modify the stock airbox to allow more air in and room for the mod - but it's not something I would try.

If the weather is warm I usually can take right off, only in the cooler weather am I waiting a bit and it seems to make the difference.
