• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cold Fingers

Heated gloves are the best solution. But wiring yourself to the bike can be a pain.

battery operated gloves are even more expensive and not warm enough for some folks.

heated grips are harder to install, but easy to use. But they only heat the inside of your fist. Gloves designed for heated grips have less insulation on the grip side so you get more warmth from the grip.

my bike came with heated grips. I use those and a slightly insulated glove when it gets chilly. When it gets cold I put on the hippo hands and go back to summer gloves.

I do not have the semi auto, but would mittens or "shooters gloves" work ? I do not think they would work on a standard shift.
Just a Idea

try installing CYCRA STEALTH DX ALLOY RACER PACK HANDGUARDS they will keep the cold wind away.

Gloves in Florida

You can bet your bippie Sherlock it gets :cus: cold in Florida I just turn on my Spyder handlebar grip heaters and thirty seconds later they are getting warm. What type gloves do I wear? Natural unlined deer skin. Or Can Am heavy fabric gloves.....

SkiDoo Gauntlets for snowmobiles. They are not expensive and may be worth a try.
I use gauntlets on my snowmobile. Cuts the wind and keeps the warmth in.
I always keep a pair in my frunk, incase it gets too cold.

Gerbings Heated Stuff works Great

I like to ride in the winter. People see the Spyder more since it is usually the only bike on the road, so it helps with safety also. I have heated insoles, pants, jacket liner and gloves so stay warm no matter what the temp. You do have to be a little careful with the wires, but the Gerbing stuff has it set up pretty well so they are easy to manage. A variable heat controller is a must. The biggest challenge is getting all of the stuff on so you can ride.

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.co.../BikeMaster-Heated-Grips.aspx?WT.ac=SLIsearch

I just installed these "Bikemaster" Heated grips (7/8) to replace the Hot Hands Velcro grips I used before on My 09 GS.

They are only $54 are work great- 5 Different levels and are as Good or better than the Stock RT heated Grip for warmth and there are 5 different levels. The grips themselves are slightly BIGGER than the stock GS/RS Grip and more comfortable!!!

The reviews on the Link bear out what I,m saying.nojoke
