not good .....have you heard from BRP......update
:agree: They are cheap-enough to replace, that you might just as well "pull and change", instead of just inspecting. :thumbup:If you are reading this post or have read any of the many posts pertaining to this issue. And, have not inspected, or had, these hoses inspected. You are rolling the dice. This problem is not specific to 2013's. fwiw
Solution is silicone hoses
Just shy of 10 feet. Plenty enough to share. 9" piece mails for less than 75 cents.

Is it specific to RT's ?
good news and you are taking it in stride.
good on you.
Hmm awful lot of things for so few miles. I am assuming it is a MAP sensor and hoses as well as the purge valve. Did you have any issues noted when you had the recall done? You are right it is the right time of year to get it fixed.
When the recall was done last September, they had to replace the master cylinder, charcoal canister, and the parking brake cable . . . so, yeah, I'd say there were issues noted. Interestingly enough, nothing the dealer I bought it from did was reflected in the BRP computer . . . the recall work, the replaced heim joint, my 600 mile inspection . . . they documented nothing! The guy at Hanover PA checked everything to verify it had been done and documented it . . . yet another reason to stay away from my original dealer . . . we need a "Shake my head" icon, Lamont . . . although this also sums it up :gaah:! My garage seems empty . . . even when I pulled Mrs. Hayfield's car back into it . . . I need my :spyder2: to sit on during evenings when I am thinking deep thoughts about my next ride! While I'm here, I should say that Saturday was the first long ride with my new back rest and web pegs . . . wow! What a difference! They really add to the comfort . . . money well spent! :2thumbs:
That may be the explanation for the additional problems. Heat and rubber & plastic parts do not mix well. Glad you got it all worked out and hope you get many miles of smiles.
Thanks, Roger . . . and there is no other way to take it without creating un-needed stress . . . it is what it is, there is snow on the ground, again, so I wouldn't be riding, anyhow . . . and thanks to this event, they checked a bunch of other things . . . who knew I had a bad purge valve?? Silver linings are there if you look for them . . . and I've always been an optimist! Life is too good not to be! nojoke
