Ok I see there are some posts on Clutch recalls where people are now having issues. Here are the common causes.
1-If your machine now creeps in gear and at a stop it could be a few things. A- the outer clutch (friction) plate was installed in the wrong position. This plates tabs are inserted in the shorter slots of the clutch basket. If its mounted with the other friction plates the clutch can make noise and also cause it to creep. B- The disk spring must be installed with the concave side towards the pressure plate. If not the spring can cause the clutch to malfunction and not disengage.
2-If your machine revs goofy on down shift (higher than normal RPM). This is almost 99% because the clutch release shaft wasn't tightened down.
One thing for sure is if the recall was done properly you will be happy. If your not and its doing wierd stuff then the procedure wasn't followed and it needs taken apart. This is a simple job but it does require certain steps to be followed in a certain order. The procedure is nearly 20 pages long
