I couldn't believe how easy this mod was to do. If you all (Y'all for you down south...) recall I have requested a few times for PAZZO lever aftermarket replacement for the RTS. The one I had on my RS wont fit. No one seems to know if/what model would work on an RTS.
SO... I this is what _I_ did. Caution... do this only at your own choosing and your own risk.
Step 1: On the RTS clutch lever, you must remove the riveted end of the silver adjustment knob. I used a 3/8" drill bit and a pliers. carefully pry off the washer and save for later use.
Step 2: Pull up and carefully remove the adjustment knob itself.
Step 3: Use a vise grip to hold the adjuster. Using a belt sander (Easiest to contoll it...) or use a grinder.... ( less controll and potentially dangerous. ) to grind down only ONE side of the four sided stem. I chose to NOT harm the lowest one #4. and to modify the #2 side.:clap:
Step 4: Now this is a bit tricky... you must drill and tap a small hole where you drilled out the rivet end. I chose a 3mm tap set becuase I have a ton of 3mm bolts. Use Stainless steel bolts please.
I did notice I over shot the sanding/grinding a bit... but it looks to not harm it.:yikes:
NOW I can better grab that clutch lever with my smaller hands and they wont get cramped during heavy traffic and heavy clutch usage.
