Took delivery of my new RTS on Tuesday and had some fantastic times getting used to it and put about 40 miles on it. Next morning road to work, then ran a couple of errands. Noticed after reversing back out of a parking space and shifting to first that it hestated on take off. Drove about 1/2 mile to put gas in it and after the fillup the brake system indicator was flashing and while it went into gear it would not move until I reved it up.
Called the dealer, and must have talked to the wrong tech, no help at all. A bit in a fluster since my new toy was broken. Decided to see if I could get it to go at least to move it to a safe place. Got 300 feet and dead in its tracks. Would not roll, clutch would engage but it would not move. Had it towed to the dealer and now they are saying it needs a new clutch. The dealer is still working on the diagnosis, but initially says it appears that it was caused my riding it with the parking break engaged.
Any suggestions on this issue would be greatly appreciated. I did not think it was even possible to go with the PB engage. Sounds like a similar issue to what I found in the forums on the 2010 but nothing on the 2011.
