• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone have any expanations as to why my 2009 spyder rs-se5 always goes clunk when I put it into reverse?

I'm glad it does. It removes any doubt it's in reverse, besides checking the console. Also sugests the reversig relay has not failed!

It's known as a reassuring clunk or, a good clunk.

There are some bad clunks out there but usually not from going into reverse.

There are good clunks, and bad clunks. What you are experiencing is normal--at least on all four :spyder2:'s I have owned.

Don't know..!!

we have an RS 2012 sm and it clunks going into first and reverse. Normal with the initial enguagement of the transmission. After that pretty smooth for a twin...!!

Klunky Reverse

yes,it does once a day. On the first start-up and back-up of the day. I don't worry about it as I know what is happening. It is breaking loose the disks from the drive plates from their overnight bonding period. You can get it not to do it by letting the oil get good and hot before engaging reverse gear. But who wants to sit in the garage for 30 minutes. Not i said the impatient Spyder Ryder.:doorag::trike:
