• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It has just been a "bad summer" I bought this to finally have some joy in life after the last couple of years sucking so bad. But this accident has had more of a mental toll on me than physical.

Besides not being able to ride but the multiple mis-statements about when work was going to start and then once it started being treated as a side project (I was told by the service manager that it was being worked on in between "regular" appointments) even though I am (or my insurance company ) is paying full labor rates has had me really upset. After last week I think I am just going to need to live with the fact it is what it is and hopefully I get it back in good enough condition to trade it in on something else.

I am beginning to think it may have been better for the insurance company to just have totaled the bike. It may have cost some more money but at least I wouldn't be almost 3 months down the road into this repair and all to show for it is a stripped down frame.

I have even debated with myself about just buying another Spyder to get me back on the road and sell this one whenever it is decided to complete the job.

Get a price quote on a new Spyder from the dealer doing the work, and other local dealers too. Let he other dealers know what you will be trading in. Ditch the headache you have now and may have in the future.

Sorry for your problems, don't let things get you down, life is way to short.

If you have the means and desire go ahead and get another bike then trade or sell this one. Again, Enjoy life now, we never know what tomorrow holds.

There's a 2021 STS for sale here on the forum at a heck of a deal if that suits your fancy, or there's a 2020 also listed here.

I'm not taking any business back to this dealership once I have completed this transaction with them. They were great on the sale but the service side has just been a nightmare. And had their service manager just told me upfront "hey you know we cant work on your bike until ..." I would have been good with that.

But I was told several times that work would start "next week" and never did. Being in the service industry myself for the last 30 years I consider that something that breaks trust with a customer and loses their confidence and is almost like a holy grail to me. Never promise something you cant deliver on or have no intentions of making a best effort.

Telling a customer that is paying a full labor rate that the work being done for them is being fit in between "regular" customers is belittling the customer and saying to them you don't value them as much.
