• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Clock on dash still not working....

And for all the people that are saying just add something, or what do you care cuz it doesn't work well anyway, please don't respond.

Then how about responding to my question of 'have you read the owner's manual'?

How about responding to another post re: is it under warranty? And, what does the dealer say about it?

Not to sound insensitive Pete, but that's what these forums are for, so ONE doesn't have to reinvent the wheel or read a manual. You have a question, and hopefully, someone has already had the issue before and can enlighten the group. Again, if you don't have an answer to my problem, please don't respond.

Okay.

FINFAN3DP, I have a 2018 so I cant look at mine. I did see a video of an older RT and I saw the option menu with (preferences) so maybe look in there?

While I'm pretty sure it's in the 'Frunk Manual' (well I can't call it 'Glovebox Manual' can I? Cos it sure won't fit in there! ) Sooo.... Let's see if I can remember how to do it..... OK, here goes:

Press the Mode button (that's the very top left button on your RT or F3-T or Ltd Left Hand grip) a few times until the Set-up screen appears; then using the Navigation arrow buttons, navigate down the list first & then across (right) the list until you find the item/display you want to change; then go right once more to select from the list of display options shown. Once you've selected the option you want, use the Nav arrows to go up & back (left) to the top of the menu & then the Mode button to leave that Set-up screen (cos if you don't leave the menu options area you might accidentally end up changing what you so laboriously just fixed the way you like it if (when) you accidentally hit the Mode button often enough or you disconnect the battery & it reverts to your chosen 'default' )

AFAIK, those Spyder Models with the 'less comprehensive' dash display still achieve the same results by using the M & S buttons in the Dash & scrolling thru the (less comprehensive) display options in much the same manner - someone with one of those models will correct me if I've got that wrong I'm sure!

EVERYBODY who has posted in this thread is trying to help as best they can.

YOU being nasty about it doesn't accomplish anything and doesn't bode well for future questions you might need help with.

P.S. "Forums like this" are not designed to relieve you from your simple responsibilities in life.
Buck it up.

Is there an ignore feature then? Cuz that way i wont have to read stuff from people that arent answering questions?

That would literally be 99.9% of the forum. Good luck with that! :joke:

Besides, by definition you are already not reading stuff from people that aren't posting (i.e. answering questions).

Hi Guys,
The blue circle is the time ( too small to be of any use ). The red is elapse time of the trip I believe. It resets whentrip meter is reset , which I do at every fuel fill.

That’s exactly why I asked, Lew. To confirm with the OP which clock he is talking about with this thread, making sure we’re all talking about the same clock.

I apologize in advance, but I just have to ask this FINFAN3DP. Are we looking at the blue circled clock or the red circled clock?

Doug,

I'm talking about the blue circled one.... I actually got it to stay today, even after shutting it off. It seems like if you put it on the 24hr clock it will not keep time (no, i'm not getting on the bike at midnight every day! ;) ), it just reverts to 00:00 every time you start the bike. But, when I chose AM/PM it seems to have kept it, even after shutting the bike off for 15 minutes. I will try it again tomorrow and see if it kept it over night.

Hopefully this is the end of this issue. Now to move that stuff from the trunk to where it will be usable. :)

FIN. That’s good. Because the only function of that clock is time of day. And the only thing that should cause it to reset is a loss of battery power. And even then, I’ve had my battery out overnight and it kept time. I don’t use 24hr format so can’t vouch for that. As a long shot, if you wanted, next time you start up and while you’re waiting to warm up, cycle through every one of your preference settings, change them or adjust them and change them back, in order to rewrite all those settings back into memory. If the problem continues I’d focus on exactly when it resets. That is, when they key is turned on, when the start button is pushed, etc. What happens to cause it. Good luck with it.

We just ride I look at the clock just for an estimate of the time. Ours like most is always off. The kids will call if something important comes up ;)
