• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Climate control while you ride

Depends....

Does look interesting and will some day be common place. I still manage well with clothing available and really don't want more gear to get tangled up in...:lecturef_smilie:Guess I'm a minimalist...:roflblack:

My Cooling Unit

Small dual 12v fan, a real screamer. Puts out about the same amount of air as the vacuum cleaners in the store when reversed and magically holding up a beach ball. I point it at my upper chest/chin, can unzip my jacket a bit and raise my modular helmet and catch a nice breeze, I turn it on when in stop & go traffic, otherwise don't need it.

What if you were to hang a small container of ice in front of it? :dontknow:
Would it help to cool things down, or would it just make a mess?

By the time I need it I am already starting to perspire so the air movement is usually enough, at least here in the Mid-Atlantic area. Someplace else like Arizona might be another matter though.

Wet Cooling Vest and wet soaker Frog Tog neck band are normal riding gear for the rest of the summer here in Tucson. These actually work quite well. Usually last about two hours between saok downs and need to be worn under a mesh jacket. Was 103* degrees here yesterday and temps will reach 115*-120* before the Summer is over.
