• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cleaning the flat black F3

Hey gang! Looking for advice on keeping the flat black color on my F3 clean and looking nice. I have the all black f3-s (2017) and wish I could wax the bike, aside from the glossy areas of the tank, fenders etc. Any advice on what to use on the flat black color? Any chance you can use a "spray" wax? Help. Thanks in advance !!!! Please ride safe.

Cheap is sometimes better...

I also have a F3-S "Special Series" Sure you can spend more $$ for dedicated flat black cleaners, but I have found out the $2.00 bottle of ArmourAll glass cleaner to work wonders on the flat black areas of the bike. Heck it does so well on the rest of the bike, I keep a bottle in the frunk along with 3-4 microfiber cloths dedicated for the different parts of the bike. I'll probably get blasted for recommending an "inferior" product, but try it, you'll like it.

I use Maguiers Detailing Mist (use it on my car too) and a well broken in terry cloth towel---though I'm sure the_bandit's Armor All glass cleaner would work just as well.

Try this

My buddy has a flat black victory and this what he only use's and its a good price, hes has had real good luck with it.......

I use ...

2017 F3T triple matte/shine black.
First coated ALL parts of bike with Dr. Beasley's for matte finishes. It is a sealer/ceramic like finish, shinny parts shine and matte stays matte.
For touch ups and detailing i use either Dr. Beaseley detailer occasionally, but usually Lamonsters matte black detailer or Duckys matte detailer (cheaper), and CLEAN microfiber towels. Bugs come off easy, let sit for a minute and wipe off, wipe easley and use a lot of liquid if needed. Can also use glass cleaner -the amonia.
Whatever you do DO NOT USE ANY PRODUCT WITH ANY WAX... on matte finishes, will shine surface.
Also be sure to take dust off or wash bike first... matte finishes cannot be repaired easily if scratched. But they look soon good. Bugs best if removed as soon as possible. (damp cloth on them for a few minutes will soften and then detailer if needed )
I just dust off, use detailer to debug and wipe down often and ride ride ride...
Hope this helps.

have not changed member pic to new bike yet.

I use a wax less shampoo on my matt/shiny black F3s.
Works like a charm.
DO NOT PUT WAX OR POLISH ON A MATT PAINT JOB!
