• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Chrome or Blacked-out - am I the only one who likes Chrome??

I think the Platine (strange name, they should have gone with Platinum or Chrome) version looks great, but I'm not willing to cough up the extra $1500 for it. I did, however, order mirror covers that are silver rather than black because that part of the look and some degree of enhanced visibility is worth it to me. They should be at the dealer this week. Still no date on when the bike will show up.

I prefer the blacked-out look, but there is nothing wrong with the chrome look.
It can be very attractive but requires more effort to keep it clean and shiny.
It's just a matter of personal preference.
You say potato, I say potato................

Ours is a 2014 chrome edition. The only thing I don't like about is the stupid design of the trunk.

Just curious if I am the only one that likes chrome? I have an older RT, so on some days I daydream about getting a newer model. I have to look at 2014 and up RT's, because of my budget. It appears that about 70-80% are the Dark Edition and if I would bite the bullet even on a used unit, I would look 'til I find what I want; and for me personally, I don't want the Dark Edition. I think it is because I grew up in an era when we had to make do with black because we couldn't afford the chrome. And so there won't be any misunderstanding, I love you guys who like the blacked-out units. Whatever rings your bell. ;)

I ordered the Chrome just for the wheels alone ! I think the little bit of Chrome that comes in the package looks great. I have the red and black and all three goes nice together.

I just picked up a 2023 RT Limited and will hopefully find some chrome wheels to put on it. Old School is C@@L!

Personally, I prefer the chrome. From what I gathered chrome plating is not environmentally friendly and many of our favorite things are moving away from that.

Anything but black. Chrome since 1970’s. My 2014 RT came with brushed aluminum wheels, it is easier to take of. Cars are the same, I just bought a new to me car and chrome NOT black wheels were on the top five requirements.

I like chrome and I like blacked out. I think both can look good when done properly. My GMC Sierra Denali has lots of chrome. Spyder is blacked out. If the there would have been a glossy black and chrome 2024 RTL at the dealer, I probably would have gotten that.
