• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Chickened out, bought the JB Pro

Holy smokes... This thing sounds like a freakin monster..hahaha
Some decel popping at 3000k-4000k rpm downshifting. Two minor backfires (I guess..wasn't like a car one) while riding for 1 Hour. Aside from that, acceleration was smooth and consistent. Hard acceleration was sharp and responsive. No slop.

You hear it in your helmet around town. It quiets down above 50.

I like it (I'll still install JB though) just to have in place for future mods and optimization.

Install it now! That machine will run 10 times better just set to map 3 with the pipe. I guarantee it! Heck, I run mine on map 1 with the factory pipe and filter sometimes and It runs amazing (Exponentially better than without the JB). You will notice a huge improvement instantly so go ahead and install it now and set it to map 3. Verify it by installing the software on a laptop and plugging it in.

VT, I would love to, however...

1. It's in the mail
2. I buttoned up the panels already.

I will as soon as I get it. Thanks for the suggestion on settings though... It helps
I have a stock air filter. Won't upgrade that for a few weeks... Will do the kewl one. Have to take a small break on buying toys lol

Installed. Put on three with OEM air box. It runs very well. Thanks for the suggestion

If it tends to run rough from 1500-3500 rpm you can do an easy tweak on the closed loop adjustment. Bump it by 1 or 2 and it will remove any low speed burble you may have. You will have to do it with the laptop though. When you install the air filter (KM) it would be a good idea to disconnect the neg' cable on the battery for at least 30 min' as this will purge the ecm and you can start with your adjustments fresh. When a free flowing filter is installed you will probably have to increase the closed loop region (w/the adjustment set to zero in the software first) by 50-100% or more. That's the "lean area" and you'll notice a bad "burble" just coming onto the throttle in that area. I think mine is set to 15-20 @ 1500-3500rpm/2-20% throttle (green filter installed with ram air factory box) in the map. The ecm will learn as you drive it and there may be a point where it will run really great and then begin to run progressively worse in those areas. The ecm will attempt to lean it back out over time. Just disconnect the neg' cable again and reset the ecm. Then back your settings down a bit. Hope this helps and just sharing my own experience. My settings were created using map 3 used as a baseline and an AFR gauge. BTW, just filled up last night and getting just shy of 39 mpg (159.3 miles/4.1 gallons). PM me once you get the KM intake and I can e-mail you my map. You will probably have to go substantially higher as that intake will flow much more air than the factory box. Keep us posted!

I forgot to mention that the spyder will produce a distinct sound when piped if it's running lean. Mine w/ 2 bro's duals has a more high pitched crackly sound when it's too lean. When the afr is around 12.5 to 13.6 (where it should be) it has a nice throat'y sound even on a hard pull.

Thank you very much. I put all that info in my spyder notes. Will come in quite handy.

My only concern was that setting three with the OEM air box might be over fueling a bit, however it runs so well it seems frivolous to even consider. My idle used to bounce some... Gone. Minor DC popping... Gone. It pulls so hard it feels like a different bike. I'll plug in the laptop and check the AFR. The software can be a bit overwhelming as their is so much info. Thanks again!

Hey VT.... I was running map 3 and had the laptop hooked up. Saw the numbers 2bro plugged in. Couldn't find AFR anywhere. How do I find this? I was followed by two Harley's this morning all the way to the grocery store. They must really like the setup. They asked what it eats, and how modified it was... Lol. Harley folks are push overs for VTwins and loud pipes. :)

Even though I'm having a conservation with myself...if any reads this, adjusting to level 2 did the trick.
