• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

-------because I'll be 74 years old this month, and, now that I have confidence in the "Black Widow," I'm going to take off up the coast---heading for Cambria and points north----if only this rainy weather will finally end. I have been a teacher in Southern California for 45 years---so I think I deserve to see this beautiful state from the seat of a "Spyder." It's a little scary to take off by my self, but I think I have the Spyder ready now---take a few tools and a pocket full of change---and bless the Lord along the way.....SSSS

You go Sara!

Sara, WOW.....74 years old and going on a well deserved trip. Have fun, ryde safely, and God bless YOU!

Sara,
You are a wonder! To be 74 years old and still adventurous is a blessing. Be careful on your journey. Enjoy what the wonders of nature have to offer. And thank you for your contributions to all the children that have been enriched by your teachings. Happy Trails and Ryde Safe.
Wife and I spent the night at the Blue Bird Inn in Cambria on our return from Hollister after having our Corbin seat installed. It is a quaint place: no phone, no microwave, no refrigerator and very nice people. The counter in the office offers sweet breads and coffee for breakfast, hot instant apple cider and instant hot chocolate. In the morning as we sat by the fireplace drinking our coffee and eating some sweet bread, about 5 locals, reading the paper and having coffee, got into talking about the Spyder. We listened a bit, then walked up and introduced ourselves as the owners. We answered their questions and gave 2 of them a tour of the Spyder. The place is no 5-Star, but it was very reasonably priced and quiet. I will post some pis of the motel grounds for you.
We traveled CA 46 from Cambria and saw some beautiful wine country. The shades of green were unforgettable.

That is great!! I want to be doing that same stuff when I am in my 70's as well. You are an inspiration.

Sara, I think that is the coolest thing I've ever read. :doorag: I am amazed at the diverse group of riders we have here. It seems like the Spyder has really opened the doors for so many that may have never been able to enjoy the wind like so many of us do here. I wish I could ride with you just to see how folks react when they see you riding the Spyder in you're golden years. That's just too cool :spyder2::2thumbs:

Sara you sound like a wonderful soul. Enjoy your ride and be safe along your journey. I am sure you will have a memorable trip. :2thumbs:

Sara, that is absolutely fantastic. I hope that I have your energy when I reach your age in few years. Please keep us informed or your journey.

Sara, the Irish Blessing seems appropriate:

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

All the best,

Bruce

I met you at Ortega HWY at Hells Kitchen with your neighbor who rides.
(I had the black and gray one). Ride within your expertise and assume all drivers dont see you. Enjoy the ride and take alot of pictures.

:yes: You Go Girl!!!! If I lived closer I'd ask to tag along! Ditto to all of the posts Sara! Safe Travels!!! :f_spider:

You're too young to be on a Spyder...try a Miata until you're mature enough to get on a Spyder!!
