• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Check out this helmet

I too am a Techno-Geek and think that it's sweet lid!!!
Now, i've gotta come up with the extra thousand bucks to buy one...

Meh! Phones are tools I use; not tools that use me. R facing camera.......................I'd suggest anyone who's concerned with that needs to refocus upfront before the impact. :yikes:

Nice !!

have seen others for far less. Still need to focus more on what is ahead, and though old, my eyes still move about in their sockets so rear view mirrors work fine. I know there are those with the ability but even the 300Z with the dash projected on the windshield was distracting...nice looking helmet..!!

i'm thinkin it would be nice just to see the look on my wifes face when we're riding and i pop some stupid question to her. :roflblack::roflblack:also i could tell when she's falling asleep on the back of the spyder!nojoke

Meh, Ill stick with my Reevu FSX-1. Ive got a great rearview with no electronics or batteries to worry about.

And frankly, when I ride I dont want to be fiddling with my smartphone. Ive got the mount. Ive got the charging system. Its all settup to use as a GPS but I hardly ever do. Every time I look at my phone I see a clock. I dont like to see clocks when I ride most of the time. Thats my time and thats when time stands still for me and I dont ruin it by ever looking at the time.

Maps in the map pouch of my tankbag is where its at for me. Never had so much fun getting lost but GPS is there for last resort.

More for us...

Well, Txroadrunner...looks like more lids for us techno-geeks!!!
I prefer to incorporate all techno gadgets into my bikes, since I usually have them on me anyways. I figure if I work in the field for a living, might as well make the bike and gear equally as "plugged-in". No problem multi-tasking here:yes::yes::yes:

Toys distraction,

Toys are fine. Being a ham radio person I know the value of comm toys but having had my last three GW's rigged up with VHF FM gear I decided not going to happen on the Spyder and I am enjoying riding more without the distraction in my ears.
