• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Check Engine/"Limp Home" Mode on '16 RT-S < 11k Miles?

So wifey was riding Gipsy Danger home from Ventura today and got a Check Engine light with "Limp Home" Mode displayed in the instrument cluster. We were about an hour away from home and made it back to the house without incident. Engine seemed to be running normal. No overheat condition or other anomalies that I could detect. Trike has a shade over 11k miles on it. Only work done on it to this point has been:

- 3k oil change
- 8k oil change
- New rear tire at 10k miles
- Lamonster Power Plate install
- Lamonster/Bajaron front sway bar and end links

Curious as to what could cause this? I'm not TOO worried about it, since the trike is still under OEM warranty (February '17 - February '19). Going to take it to my local dealership (Jetworld in Castaic, CA.) next Saturday for diagnosis.

Fellow RT'ers...please weigh in if you have had a similar experience! Thanks!

Ah many things.....

Download an app called spydercodes it's free and it will give you all the steps needed to get the codes that caused this. The check engine light comes on for everything mostly non engine issues. It could be as simple as having your foot on the brake while ryding or a manuver the system did not like...

Good to know, Chu-Diggity. Thanks! Do you need an OBD code reader with this app?

Once you have the codes you put them into the app and it will tell you what it id's and possible solutions. The app has many other features for you and your spyder..
