• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Check engine light on and off problem

Just returned from 850 mile trip...parked bike for week....started bike, check engine light came on. It went into limp mode and unable to ride. In 24 hours I cranked it again and all is well. No check engine light on...rode around block and no problem. Any ideas on what the problem might be?:banghead:

What year and model Spyder? 2010 RTs had a problem with faulty sending units. Probably nothing serious.

Whenever you get the check engine light and/or limp mode you need to check for error codes. You do this by pressing the mode, set and turn signal cancel buttons at the same time. Write down the code and post it and someone can give you detail on what the problem may be. You said that when you had limp mode you were unable to ride it. Do you mean that it wouldn't start or did you just not want to ride it?

Your dealer can pull up the past fault codes via BUDS, which may provide an explanation. I suspect a throttle body problem, but there are lots of other possibilities. Your dealer can sort things out.

Thanks for that suggestion. I will check it and let you know what happens. I should have said that it would not allow me to go over 30 MPH. I did ride it but it was in limp mode.
