• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The check DPS display came on , I pulled off the road and turn motor off. Restarted display when away. I was on the way for the 600 mile service. The dealer check it and said it just happen sometime. Does this sound wright?

Yes and no. There are unavoidable incidents...usually as a result of steering into the wind for an extended period, or from keeping the handlebars turned on a long sweeper. This can be aggravated by a steering sensor(s)that is slightly out of calibration. These are usually not frequent, and some owners have never had it happen. Another reason, owner initiated, is from riding the brake pedal without actually applying the brakes. The dealer can usually pinpoint this with BUDS, and will let you know. Other reasons include loose/bad relays, fuses, or loose or dirty battery connections. Steering sensors that are not correctly calibrated, and are out of synch, can do it, too.

If it continues to happen, check your battery connections (inside the bodywork, not under the seat) and your relays and fuses. If a problem isn't found there, have the dealer hook to BUDS and check for fault codes, and have him center the steering and zero the steering sensors. Usually that cures it or finds the cause.

Yes sometimes it does. If the dealer checked it out and said it was just a glitch, and it doesn't ''happen'' again i wouldn't worry.

I had this happen a few weeks ago. The message Was intermittent and effected the power steering too. Then I started to notice a few blips of the battery light every so often while idling.
My problem was loose battery connections. After tightening things down a bit I haven't had the problem since.
