• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cheap Lift

Just turn the handle counter clockwise slowly to bleed, try it with out anything on it first. Note there is a lock / positive stop on it that will stop it from coming all the way down, make sure you get that out of the way. When the jack starts to lower stop turning, let it come down as slow as you can or just open it all the way and it will come down fast.

I am thinking that with a little fab work that 1000lb motorcycle lift would be just what the doctor ordered!! All three wheels in the air on a good base and up in the air!!:2thumbs:

I lift my RTL all 3 wheels at the same time as is then place the Jack stands under the Spyder. The lift is 1500 lbs. rated.

...both the yellow Craftsman and the blue HF look like they came off of the same assembly line....

Son's HF is a yellow one. Manual doesn't have specific instructions just for bleeding but refill instructions say to turn it over to completely empty then refill w/- 5W hydraulic oil and then quickly pump handle 6-8 strikes to remove any air in system and reinstall oil fill cap.

My HF jack has worked without issue. It will lower slowly if I use a gentle adjustment. Paid 50 bucks for it used, from Craigs List. More than paid for itself many times over. I think ANY reasonably priced lift will do the same..... Jim

Any pics on this with a spyder rt on it? Lifting point location?

This is the cheaper steel version of the HF lift. Super easy to line up to get a perfect lift. Place the safety lever against and at the same angle as the floorboard.

I believe that's the one with the "Easy Down" option. I'm going to have to figure out the balance point on my new lift, I've only used a regular floor jack so far.

It very smooth coming down depending on how hard you press on the release pedal. Have only tried a full speed down when it was empty. With a light press it takes over 10 seconds to lower my RT.
