Changing Ipod Channels

I have owned my RT since June of 2011 and up to this weekend I have been able to change to the next song, up or down, anytime the bike is running. I was trying out the instructions on selecting Ipod channels (the supplimentary paper that explaines how to set radio channels etc.). I could not really figure out what it does but it did do one thing. Now I can only change to songs up or down when I select Ipod and can no longer do so when the main screen is showing. Looking forward to hearing how to put this back the way it was.

mine will work on the back control and noise canceling is not working also

It's the cb doing all this bad things to the iPod you need to call brp and will replace cb if you have installed it. Ok

i dont have a cb and i have checked every connection and changed ipod

the controls for the ipod are on the menu screen

Clearly there is some more reading to be done in the instructions about all of this...

I had never given a thought to doing anything but moving forward or backward within whatever playlist I had up and running... Some experimentation is going to have to happen soon! :thumbup:

I think if you hold down for a few seconds the right or left arrow button while the ipod is playing it will change the play list. If you put the dash readout on the ipod where you can see the song title and hold the "Set" button it will go to the selection screen to choose by artist, album, etc. You may have to be stopped to access this last screen I'm not sure but I know you can change the playlist while traveling. Hope that helps.

I should have followed up on this thread, sorry. The problem was in the set up screen, the aux (Ipod) was not showing, I set it to show on the main screen and now it works fine.

i had the same problem with our 2010 rts and we do not have a cb radio... i finally took the ipod in my house, connected it to my computer, let it sync. while i was connected to the puter i changed and added some songs.. when it was done i reconnected it to the bike and all was repaired . im not sure what step fixed it or what was the issue. that was over a year ago and all is still well...

If you hold down the right arrow it should switch to the next playlist. Not just push but HOLD it down. Are you sure you have more than one playlist on the ipod?:dontknow:

Also, it may not switch playlists if on "Shuffle", and it will forward to the next song, but will only start at the beginning of the playing song, rather than back up one song.

I've got just a few playlists; but sometimes it's worth it to swtich off between them just so's the Missus doesn't get bored and cranky! :shocked: :roflblack:

NOTHING worse than a cranky missus! I agree. Especially when they are right behind you. :shocked:
