• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Changing Ipod Channels

When you have your iPod plugged in, does it read iPod or Aux on the main screen? Also are the controls for the passenger on the right, suppose to change the volume and songs? The right passenger controls don't seem to be working on mine.

If you have a true iPod, plugged in with the proper cable, it should read iPod on the display and be partially controllable with the left handlebar buttons. The passenger can only control changing the song. The passenger volume control only works with the passenger headset with the optional factory comm system/CB.

Thanks Scotty!

I do have an iPod and the cable is what came with the bike from the factory. I don't have the headset, so that's why the controls aren't working for the passenger. Any idea why mine is showing Aux? I have the iPod Classic 120 gb.

Showing AUX can be an issue of the cable not being securely latched in the iPod (both sides), being loose at the Spyder connection, dirty contacts, the wrong cable, or a bad cable. It can also happen if the iPod needs to be rebooted...or sometimes synced on the computer. I have heard that a recent update for the Spyder caused a problem, but I don't remember that being verified. If there is a way you can do it, you can hook the iPod to another Spyder, try a different cable, or try another iPod on your Spyder.

I have owned my RT since June of 2011 and up to this weekend I have been able to change to the next song, up or down, anytime the bike is running. I was trying out the instructions on selecting Ipod channels (the supplimentary paper that explaines how to set radio channels etc.). I could not really figure out what it does but it did do one thing. Now I can only change to songs up or down when I select Ipod and can no longer do so when the main screen is showing. Looking forward to hearing how to put this back the way it was.

Thanks for any help.

When it is moving the system is limited to song changes. When spyder is stopped it will change list and channels.

A saftey issue probably. Prevent driving and texti
