Changer - Tires

Has anyone used the Harbor Freight tire changer? Will it fit Spyder rims?

I did mine with the harbor freight motorcycle tire changer and used their motorcycle wheel balancer also. I made a few modifications to the changer and it worked very well.

I haven't balanced mine and it's perfectly smooth. My plan was to try it and if it needed balancing then I'd put Ride-On in it.

I plan to balance with Ride-On. It's a little pricey, but you get the puncture seal benefit also.

As stated before, as I am getting older, I need to make things easier.

I too have used a friend's HF changer, he also had an attachment, which they don't sell any longer, when you don't have to take the hub apart. HF just had it on sale for $35. Don't take the hub apart until you see that you need too.

We didn't have enough air to pop it on the rim, (I hadn't spread the tire from shipping) just took it to Walmart and asked them to put air in it. Piece of cake.

Most any tire shop can balance the front tires for you, the rear one .............. not so easy.
