• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cell Phone

I have had several DROIDS and now I have an IPHONE. To me the IPHONE is more user friendly and easier to synch with my IPAD and ITouch. It is also easier to coordinate/Synch calendars with my husband so we can now use one calendar that updates from any of our apple products. :dg2:

I personaly like the Samsung Gallaxy Nexus, but that is because I purchased as new to the market, and loved that it didn't limit me to Verizon bloat ware, and capability limitations. With that said I usually keep a phone for at least 4 years. The Nice to have features when new become the un-used features in time. I have a phone that I talk on, and apps for the things I really use after the wow factor wears off. I use calculator, Chrome for web search, camera that takes good pictures, and Carhome for my GPS when traveling for work. Other than that it is all impressions of what you use it for. I do not text, tweet, facebook ext. So do not care about all the workings of these features. I spend what is the best deal with the carrier to get the best phone for the price and data package.
You really can't take others opinions on a purchase like this, think of what you use it for, and after the wow factor wears off what will it really be used for. This is my second android smart phone and I still like it.
You will mostlikely love either smart phone.

I guess no one likes icecream sandwich for me its the HTC EVO 4 g LTE with sprintm. :firstplace:
Had Icecream Sandwiches for about a year and a half, now they gave me Jelly Beans:hun: and I no longer prefer Icecream sandwiches.
I stay with Android just to see what the next Operating system will be nambed:gaah:

apple

always had a smartphone of some kind cause i needed it but none of them were really designed for users as such, more so fore IT Gourmans
next thing Apple came up with iPhone, saw advert, realised that its perfectly designed for idiots - users, got it and never looked back, found it so simple and useful that i became an Apple addict/user, Apple makes it - i have it, and they ( gadgets ) all work the same way and in perfect symbiosis between each other, no hassle.
Comparison with Android? :dontknow:
I know 3 people with Samsungs and Nokia and they're all women, all the rest bites an Apple
Since you are American, you should support your own, especially since there is nothing better out there

iPhone, hands down. From a security stand point it is better. Did you know that 53% of all infected devices (phones, desktops, laptops, tablets.....) in the world are Droid based. As an IT person, I groan in pain when a Droid enters my office for configuration or repair. BTW, I use to hate the iPhone for the same reason, but in the last three years Apple has really fixed their security issues so I no longer go off about them!

I have an iPhone and can't wait to upgrade to the latest Galaxy. The iPhone is still behind the Galaxy S3 and now the S4 is out. It really depends on what features you think you "need" besides making calls. Google iPhone vs Galaxy S4 and you should see many technical comparisons. IMHO

Those comparisons are hugely flawed. Tech specs say nothing of usability. It doesn't matter what processor or how many cores and how much ram you have, if comparing different operating systems. On similarly spec'd hardware Apple products kill anything windows or Android. You actually need higher speed processors with higher core count and memory to match Apple products in performance. That's part of the beauty of how apple gets things so slim with superior battery life.

It's like comparing apples (no pun intended) and oranges, but the comparisons and reviewers usually can't get over their own biases. A ton more depends on a users infrastructure and needs than specs.

I had a droid 4 which worked great until the "ice cream sandwich upgrade .. Then it turned into a piece of :cus:. I wasn't eligible for an upgrade yet, and it was out of warranty, so I sprung for the iPhone 5, and I love it. I already have 2 iPods (a 6th gen nano for the spyder and a classic for the big rig), so apple has got my vote for great stuff... I think my next computer is gonna be an I Mac, lol
