There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a Zumo 660 that connects with my cellphone. If a call comes in it shows on the Zumo. If I notice, I pull over and answer the call over the Zumo.

I also have a Scala Q2 -- but, I have not yet installed it on my helmet. I use a 3/4 helmet with no facemask. The Q2 will be limited for answering calls while riding because the microphone will be exposed to the air -- but, I have a high windshield, so it might be OK. The Q2 will work fine if I pull over. Also, the Q2 will be fine for hearing other things from the Zumo like directions, music, etc.

Don't answer - call them back later - 99 2/3rds percent of the time it is not an emergency so they can wait untill I get off the :spyder2:. :D

I have a parrot system. Works great, I can listen to my music and when a call comes in I can pick it up. I can also voice command making a call out without having to pull over which is I rarely use but comes in handy when I need to make a quick call and I'm already on the hwy. I also dont pick up the call unless its my wife and if its not an emergency I tell her I will call her back.

My wife and I each use a Scala Rider Q2 in our respective full-face helmets. When a cell call comes in, all you have to do is say Hello
(or anything at all) and the conversation starts. No buttons to push, completely hands-free and the caller has no clue you are on a motorcycle.

My wife needs to do this because she is on perpetual 24-hour duty for work.

I do it cause I have two aging, health-challenged parents and don't wanna miss "that call".

I'm waiting for the day I can call 911 from the Spyder while following an intoxicated driver until he's in custody, all hands-free. (Done this from personal cars, but not yet a bike.)

Oh yeah, it has an FM radio too, nothing better than listening to Click and Clack on NPR while SpyderRyding!

I saw a helmet this past weekend that is called the V-Tune, and has built in blue tooth along with microphone and speakers. If you are riding with someone else who has the same helmet, you are supposed to be able to connect them and be able to talk to each other while you are riding your own machines.

I have a Nolon N-103 with Bluetooth. built in Speakers, and MiC. I only use the Bluetooth to the cell phone when I am working. Its hard to hear on both ends above 75 MPH. But its great for Pilot to passenger communication.

My iphone is my mp3, my phone and my GPS all in one. I have earbuds that fit flush into my ears so that they don't hurt under my helmet. I have a microphone just inside my full face helmet near my mouth. I have my iphone mounted with a RAM mount on my handle bar. I can scan my music that way, push to answer or use the phone via voice command. Also I can have my GPS running and after the call is over, it will automatically go back to the GPS. This also works with the Aqua Box from RAM for bad weather days.

I use a J&M bluetooth headset connected to my Iphone mounted in a aquabox. The speakers are great on the J&M. I had a scala but the speakers kinda sucked

Verma jilano helmet with built in Bluetooth :2thumbs:

Tatt2r,

I had the Vemar helmet but found that the volume was just not usable when paired with an iPhone. Even will all the different volumes (Main, Bluetooth, etc) on the iPhone turned all the way up it was still half as loud as when paired with say a RAZR.

I sold the helmet before iPhone 3.0 came out and I guess there was a lot done with the bluetooth for iPhone 3.0. Do you have any volume issues or is it plenty loud for talking or listening even at freeway speeds?

Thanks

HERE HERE!!!

Too bad not enough of us are like this... maybe if we were traffic would be a little better around here... concentrate on driving, you conversation couldn't possibly be that important. :gaah:

On the other hand, when I am a passenger on the Spyder I use my BlueAnt sytem paired with my iPhone to make and recieve calls, but that rarely comes up. I'd rather be in communication contact with my husband, the rider.
