• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cell Phone charge?

I use the 12V outlet in the trunk (in the RT) or on the dash (in the F3) and alternate charging the SENA and the IPhone every two hrs since I sometimes ride between 16 and 24 hours without stopping for anything except fuel.. both my rides have battery tender plugs as well so I will keep that in mind for the future..

Our Sena's are good for the entire day. We both listen to our own music so when we stop for lunch we plug our cell phones into the plug in the frunk and we are usually good for the rest of the day after that.

I have both the same pigtail adapter for my battery tender lead, as well as a small battery stick. I believe it's 3500 MaH which also has a flashlight built in with low/high beam and strobe. It's made by RavPower and available via ebay and amazon

Charging cell phone on RT

I have the cigarette lighter charger for my iphone. I charge it in the trunk.

I "dock" my phone in a cradle on the dash and use it for music. I installed a dual USB port in the dash, and I can also charge it in the trunk if it comes right down to it. I use mine for music all day and it barely pulls anything out of the battery. I also have a USB in the trunk that my wife can pull power from to charge her phone.
A simple dual USB port can be easily installed in one of the speaker grills, and powered from the frunk fuse panel, without removing any plastics.

I have the USB plugin for the cigarette lighter plug in the tailbag, but I found that the direct connection to the battery via the Battery Tender pigtail and the USB adapter charges much faster.

I have a double port USB that goes in the cigarette lighter in the trunk. I usually plug my phone into that while I ride and when we stop for a meal I plug our communicators in to keep them charged.

Depends..!

I always carry a antigravity jump starter which can charge all your electronics. Do have an outlet as well in the frunk...

The 2015 LTD has a Garmin 590. For some reason, BRP zip ties the USB plug and wire to the rest of the harness under neath all the plastic! I simply rerouted it up thru the right front speaker grill and it is long enough to pul out and run to the tank bag where I plug in my iPhone. As long as the key is on, the phone charges.
