There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Cee Bailey Windshield

I am about to order the 21" windshield from Cee Bailey. It states in the ad that it will fit in the existing bolt locations of the stock windshield. Could someone who owns one please confirm this for me. Is it just a matter of removing the bolts from the existing windshield and installing new windshield and replacing the bolts? Is everything done externally? By this, I mean I will not have to remove any hidden part underneath the windshield. I am single so I will be doing this alone. I plan on ordering the 21" light grey. I stand 5'2" so I think it would be my best choice. I want to look over, not through, the windshield.

Need your :chat:help guys.

Thanks:bowdown:

You wont have any problems in changing windshields everything is done from the front of the spyder. I would be hepful if you have some one hold the windshield while you line up the screws, just don't overtighten them or you will damage the windshield.

CEE BAILEY 25"

I installed mine a few weeks ago. Only thing that I had to do was to pop the black metal washers with soft washers off of the sport windshield and you will use the originally torque screws as well. The easiest way to get the washers off of the sport windshield is to push the washers from the inside of the sport windshield. And be sure not to tighten the screws too tight. The instructions says to tighten them like you would a lid on a bottle of water. Whereas the bottle itself would not turn.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info  I knew someone on this forum could give me the cold hard facts Windshield will be ordered tomorrow:ohyea::ohyea:

I had one on my'09 GS. I also had 4" risers installed. If I remember right, at full handlebar turn, your knuckles will come real close to the edge of the shield. The risers could not be pulled any further back because of the length of the cables. I never did correct this small inconvenience. If you don't have 4" risers installed, it should work perfectly. I did love that shield.

Easy install. Be sure to follow their instructions to determilne correct height. If you order the correct height you will love the shield; I have had one one my RS for a year and have never been tempted to go back to Ultra-Touring model that was originally fitted. Be aware, as a previous poster noted, it will be a knucle banger at full turn if you have handlebar riser installled at full maximum; a 1" riser will not interfere at all. Also note that the Cee Bailey does not have "wings" over your hands. Enjoy!

WINDSHIELD ORDERED TODAY. THANKS SL.:2thumbs: THIS FORUM ROCKS:yes:

Installed my Cee Bailey windshield today. I ordered the 23". I was not prepared for the noise. It sounds like sheets on a clothesline blowing in the wind:dontknow: I was indeed disappointed since I was expecting a substantial decrease in noise.
