There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I wanted to post a link but haven't figured that out yet. Anyway Midland has a nice hand held
that you might be able to mount somewhere and the Cobra 19 is pretty compact for a mobile
radio. Look for Midland 75-822 or Cobra 19 online or visit the local truck stop. Mounting would
be up to your imagination.

J&M has a model specifically for the Spyder RS manual shift. The PPT button is in the same location as the shifter lever on the electronic shift models. May be a work around, but they say it's for the manual shift only.

Do you have a link to the RS style? I can't seem to find it on their website. The CB Radio that I see looks like it can be mounted anywhere.

I will be mounting a JMCB-2003 soon an my wife's manual shift. This particular JMCB was mounted on her 900 Vulcan and is not the spyder specific unit. I'm in the process of making mounting brackets now and will be posting pics in the near future as I do the install along with other mods. The range was a little short compared to some but it was ok with us. I don't believe it will be any different on the Spyder. :thumbup:

You could also go wireless by using Seena new SR10 gateway with a portable midland cb paired with theirSMH10 bluetooth headset here is a link for their site http://www.senabluetooth.com/products/index.php You could also use a RAM MOUNT to mount it all to the handlebars or use a powered tank bag and a powerlet wired into the spyder
