• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just had my BRP dealer install a CB, passenger PTT cord and the entertainment harness on my 2014 RT-s.
I have 2 Nolan helmets with J&M headset/mics in them, from when I had my GL 1800 Goldwing. Knowing that the cords wouldn't fit, I ordered two lower cords from J&M that fit the Spyder. Just hooked them up, and the results are:

The FM radio sounds great.
I can't talk to the passenger, and she can't talk to me through the headsets.
When I press the PTT switch on the handlebar for the CB, both my headset and the passenger's get a loud high pitched squeal.
I'll be calling the dealer tomorrow, but in the meantime, am I wrong in assuming that I can talk to my passenger thru the headsets like I could on the Goldwing?:?

I believe that the dealer never checked out the CB, and that somewhere under the Tupperware, there is something that isn't properly connected.

Any ideas?? I'd like to go to the dealer with a bit more knowledge of this subject than I presently have.
Thanks.

With each press of the MODE button, you'll get to the CB Screen.

Intercom: Check the mic sensitivity in the CB Screen. It's the last column on the right. You will probably have to go in the "-" direction. Also, the next column to the left is the intercom volume.

CB: Try lowering the CB volume - it's column #2 (left-to-right).

See Page 40 of the manual.

I've got the passenger intercom to work, but it's intermittent.
I lowered the squelch level to the bottom indicator, and I get no "receive hiss" nor do I get the receive indicator on the screen. I believe it should read "RX". I do get the "TX" when I push the PTT switch, but like I said, it's accompanied by I loud squeal. I'd almost think that something isn't properly grounded.
