• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CB Antenna question

Howdy!
:opps: I snapped off my cb antenna while putting on a travel cover.:cus: Does anyone know of a shorter antenna that would work? The cb is the BRP system. Smurfette is a 2010 RT-A. Thank you, and of course ryde safe!

I would recommend against using the CB until you get a new antenna. You could damage the CB. I'm not sure the Wally World version will work with the CB. Have the SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) checked by a shop or enthusiast before you attempt to use the WW version. Good idea to check the SWR even after an OEM replacement.

the shorter the antenna the less reception...4 foot antenna works best...go to a cb shop..as Scotty said you could mess up the cb if you try and use it with no antenna

I broke my CB antenna while in a hurry to get my cover on because of storm approaching while traveling in South Dakota. Replaced with a J+M replacement antenna that is pre-tuned with install kit for the spyder.
Giving me better coverage.
