There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Cat Delete System

Does a Cat Delete System really make a difference on the heat you feel? Seem like the most heat I feel is on my right foot and not so much on my seat. Yep there is some there and I would eliminate it if I could so I'm just wondering if it is worth it?

Anyone do one on their own. How hard was it to do yourself? How long did it take? I'm not a great mechanic but I'll take it on as a challenge.

A little help please.

Just a thought..!!

check with spyderpops (sponsor on the home page) for the right foot solution. He has a a radiator block off system that will take care of that issue. The cat removed will help with the heat around other areas. As t how hard will depend on your model...

The cat is obviously a heat source and removing it will remove heat, but I honestly can't say how much of that heat actually makes its way up to the rider / passenger. I would say that if you do a lot of stop and go driving, then that is where it would be most noticeable. I removed mine and it was not cheap as I bought an aftermarket Y-pipe, but my main goal was to open the bike up to let it breathe better and for performance reasons in addition to the heat removal aspect.

I am considering it today at Spyderfest

We are at Spyderfest and I have a 2:00 appointment at Lamonster's garage to do a Cat-Bypass. About $350, takes about an hour to hour and a half. I was told there were NO negatives about doing so.

I have had issues with boiling gas on my 2012 RTS-SE5 and to me that is an issue. I was told a Cat bypass will increase horsepower, improve gas mileage and remove the heat. They call it the "Cooker". One gentleman we spoke to said it caused his gas to boil and ran so lean that the spark plugs were Snow White when he pulled them.

So as expansive as it is I am seriously considering it today.. Just want to find out also if it is legal and so forth.

Good luck on your decision---oh they told me too that it would change the sound of the bike a little too make it sound a little more throaty.

It will definitely reduce heat. Most noticeably to the passenger, more so when you are in stop and go traffic. I removed mine after only a few months of summer riding. Made the world of difference.

Let's put it this way...
Don't show up to your dealer with a busted engine; with the catylitic converter still at home in your garage...

Emissions system vehicle inspection

Is the cat checked during emission systems checks? Probably depends on state but I'd bet CA checks.

anyone know is Mass. Checks?

Bypass

I had mine put on Monday . It does change the sound a little. I have more take off torque.
Also I put gas in today even thro the temp was only 50 degrees engine full temp . The gas was not boiling or the tank too hot to touch .

That's what I'm hoping for no boiling gas
