Cat Bypass in Texas

As all Texas ryders know, the majority of our riding is done in high temps. I've got a 2013 STS with the new side panels, but am wondering if anyone has done a Cat Bypass? Specifically, 1) will it void warranty, 2) how does it impact DPS inspection*, and 3) does it help with the heat?

* According to the DPS website it's against the law to remove the catalytic converter. With this said, are there any issues with inspections, etc.

Removal and replacement of the primary muffler (y section) does not void the warranty other than there is no BRP warranty on the new component.

Does not have an impact on safety inspection in Texas. Motorcycles are not subject to emissions inspections or testing.
Yes it helps with heat, although wrapping the header pipe and new Ypipe while doing this helps more.

Anything to make me look slimmer. :roflblack: But seriously that is a lot of weight to remove, it has to help on the mileage.
