• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

cardo - problems with latest update?!

I have a set of freecom head sets .I did the new update ,big mistake .Now my phone is not smart enough to connect and will not connect to the lap top .So now i can not make any adjustments to the head set .:sour:
 
Or try a SENA unit. I bought a Cardo Packtalk Slim and can't get the voice recognition to work right. I've tried everything. Cardo offered to swap it out but said they wouldn't ship a new (probably refurb'ed) until they saw movement on my return tracking. I sort of get that but I'm not very trusting. I asked them to do just the opposite and I would ship my defective unit once I saw movement on their tracking. They refused. I asked for the case to be escalated and they didn't even bother to reply. They sent me a link to a survey. They didn't respond to that, either. I've had SENAs in the past. I'll have SENAs in the future. Sorry they lost a customer.

I've messed w/the app adjustments, reinstalled the latest (at least as of a couple of weeks ago) firmware, factory reset the thing. Nothing. The voice commands only work about 1/2 the time and some have never worked. I think I got a lemon but I just don't trust Cardo enough to send mine in before I know they're sending me another. The fact that they now refuse to respond to my emails does nothing to build my trust in them.
 
It would be different if they would have told me up front that this update will only work with a smart phone .I would have not updated ,now i can not change setting .
