Eh... Depends on if you like the look or not, and whether the price of all the panels needed reflect the price of a custom paint job.... may end up breaking even on that if you like the carbon look.

i think you are right.
high quality paint is expensive too.
it's little over 2000 bucks for carbon fiber panels and you can sell your existing panels so you may actually come out cheaper with the carbon fiber panels.

I was checking those out as well. I really like the look, but then was wondering if they could possibly be any lighter than the ABS plastic is. Stronger yes, but lighter I am not sure of. :dontknow:

I was also quoted $1200 to custom paint the Spyder a solid color, so that is a bit cheaper. Of course, that wasn't a SpectrChrome paint job or anything like that.
