There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. It still a long ways before i need tires but i don't know of anybody going dark side on a spyder, if is doable and safe i would like to try it:doorag:

I feel just hunky dory about it. In fact I am getting ready to order one right now!!!

Ironically, I found your post as I was getting ready to order from Tire Rack.

Thats great!! please keep me up to date on handling, tire pressure etc, i knew i couldn't be the only one with this itch:yes:

No problem, however I have elected to keep stock tire on the Spyder, because I like the way it burns.

I'm sitting in a motorcycle tire shop right now having my Kumho mounted. This is my second Kumho. 18000 miles on the last one.

Are you guys doing the front tires too or just the rear? i was thinking about all the way around, how about tire pressure??

I replaced my front tires at 20,000 (I think) with Kenda's. I didn't see enough info on car tires for the front so I just went with the OEMs.

A lot better idea on your Spyder than on your Triumph... :ohyea:

Ron, i went to Maggie Valley NC, last year and rode the dragon with the car tire, there were about 25 of us, about 20 with CT, we were keeping up with the bikes with MT, better grip when wet and better braking too:doorag:

Hawk, How do you like your set up? what pressure are you running?

Just put a Michelin HydroEdge on mine. Love it!
What size did you use the 205/60/15? To Mexican yes put car tires on they are a huge improvement I put michilin defenders on the front of mine and they have more miles than the lens and there isn't even a sign of wear they probably will go for as long as I own it you do have to go to about 24psi front and 28 rear

Yep Mark.
Looked at that tire and also the General Altimax HP.

But I think I have now decided on the Kumho Ecsta AST. 225 50R15. I see that a lot of folks have used this tire and the price is just so good! Free shipping from HERE (Thanks MIKE for the tip!) $78 to my door.

And I also like the tread design. Looks like it should shed water as well as the Kenda.

Check theWear rating It's less than 1/2 the Hydroedge

I know. But the delivered cost will be $36 less as well. I really like the Michelin, I've always had excellent results with them, but $78 delivered and the exact factory size, sealed the deal for me. At that price it is hard to go wrong. Amazing deal even if I only get 15-20k on it.

I used size 215/60R15. My speedo is more accurate, within 1 MPH now. Have heard that on an RS, this size can rub the inside of the fender when riding two-up (total weight of 295 lbs) and hitting bumps. I ride one-up and have not had this problem, even though I weigh more than that by myself. My weight is on the driver's seat only, not on the passenger seat, which would compress the rear suspension more. I also keep the rear suspension at the highest setting.
