• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CAR HORN ON SPYDER

Can you use a car horn on the 2014 RT? Is the stock horn a two prong connector like a car. If you can, what is the loudest car horn that you can get? Don't want to screw with the Stibell or Bad Boy relays and all that crap, just want an even swap without any re-wiring.

That's whais on our Spyder. $5 from the automotive junkyard. Easy install and looks factory. Plenty loud and with good tone. Did not require any wiring mods.

As for what is loudest car horn, you are on your own with that. Big cars normally have horns with more authority.

For a few extra bucks; the Stebel Nautilus or Wolo Bad-Boy is a whole lot louder, and (I think!), much more compact...

Maybe, I do recall when the shop did my DESS upgrade, KB tested items during reassembly of the Spyder. He commented that when he tested the horn it caught the shop off guard a bit, I guess for the deep tone and the volume. The Cadillac dual horns seem good enough for us and certainly not sounding like Sheeple...

truck horn

I put a 57 chevy cab/chassis horn on mine.Big horn takes up a lot of room, makes it kind of tight in there. Also have to use a relay with a 30 amp fuse.

These mega horn threads always tickle me. On the rare occasion that I use my horn, it always startles me! Maybe my beloved Spyke got a mutation when she went thru the assembly line on Horn Day, 'cause I can't imagine needing anything louder. Besides, when some SOB runs me off the road, I don't want my ranting, filthy, cursing voice to be drowned out by my horn. :D

Any standard car horn will work with no mods or needing a relay. The autozone has a 118 DB horn for 15 buk here and it's LOUD.:yikes:
