• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Greetings from Saskatchewan. Just picked up a 2016 RT LTD and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for after market Spyder accessory shops/dealers in Canada.

Thanks so much

:welcome:and :congrats: We are here to help, ask questions.

Check/look at on the homepage of this site " the Vendors/Sponsors". I think some one from Canada will chime in to help you out.

Sorry I can not help with your question, since I live in the Vermont.

Welcome welcome....

To the spyder world and this site...nice choice of rydes...:2thumbs: Can't help with supplies in Canada but many of your dealers carry farkles from abroad. Check locally, google and or shop online. We have suppliers (sponsor vendors) that may ship out of the country.

Welcome aboard. Good to see another spyder in Saskatchewan. Unless things have changed I do not know of anyone in Sask. that have any thing for us here.
I have added a number of items to my spyder but all in the US. Your best bet is wait until Spyderfest and join in on a great ralleye and visit all the venders, you will find most everything there, that is were I purchased all my items. I have also delt with Bajaron for oil filters etc,he also ships to Canada. Stay on this site [spyderlovers] and you will learn pretty much everything you need to know and then some, I am on here nearly every day. If I can be of any help dont hesitate to contact me.

Cheap Canadian upgrade

Check previous posts for polaris shock stiffners. I have put these on my 2016 RTS and it makes a great difference
in the handling in corners. This can be done very cheaply until you decide to do something else. If you need part number or any help PM me. Bob

... international shipping, and customs for bigger amounts, is/are killing us. I always check both option b4 ordering.

welcome

I agree, shipping and duty to Canada can easily be more than the cost of the part. I am lucky in that I have a place in the states I get stuff shipped too. Then drive down every month or so to pick it up.

LOTS of great advice and dealers here. I am also fairly new, just got my spyder a month ago, and learned a lot from this site.

Bought a few things from the dealers here, all very quick with responses, and very helpful.

See you on the road.......

Welcome aboard.
I buy all of my accessories from supporting vendors here.
I have a membership at a place called US Address.com
For $5.00 to join they will let you use their address as your shipping address.
When your package arrives you cross the border to USA and pick up your package.

Maybe you could find a place close to you in the USA that will provide this service. It has saved a lot of money on shipping costs to Canada
and also on brokerage fees. I still payduty.

I frequently run into high prices when shipping to Alaska. The killer was $85 to ship a $65 pair of jeans. I passed on that one. :roflblack::roflblack:

It all depends on how greedy the shipper is. Add in duty and value of Canadian currency and you have the makings of disaster.

I have learned to pick and choose accordingly.

:congrats: & :welcome:

There's a dealer next door in Alberta that carries quite a few accessories for Spyders.
www.trikezone.com

They also have a catalog that they may send you if you ask...

One of the major problems is the lack of use of USPS for cross boarder shipping. Because, anytime a package is sent via UPS or Purolator there is an ginormous brokerage fee that is added to the cost. USPS INCLUDES the brokerage fee.
I once had one package that was $45.00, $12.00 to ship and $75.00 brokerage fee. The problem is, I have already paid the cost, and shipping, and now the courier is holding the package hostage. If I don't pay the brokerage, You have to pay to ship it back.......

Unfortunately, many companies will only ship via a courier, and pricing their product out the market for Canadians. (We already have a huge mark-up converting the dollar).

The place I ship too in Blaine Wash. has a $3.00 fee for all packages delivered, but takes Canadian at par......:ohyea: I am lucky that a friend lives just across the boarder, and goes down every week for gas etc anyway. he brings my stuff across for me, then I get it from him. ( I live 4 hours away) I have only had to pay duty once in many years of doing this. :doorag:

I am in Newfoundland and have had to get most of my ad ons online. The sites I used mostly are Spyderpops.com, Bigbikeparts.com and Lamonstergarage.com. Hope this helpsIMG_20160515_1128039.jpg

I normally buy from the sponsers here and have the items shipped to the UPS store in Ogdensburg. They charge 5 dollars per package and if i,m lucky at the border they just say have a nice day no duty.I normally call the vendor because of our dollar and get a bit better price as they say Canadian sales are down.
