• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can someone help identify this? Is it falling off?

Speaking of things vibrating off the bike now im looking over everything...and when i got to work this morning I saw this..gearchangerpicture1.jpggearchangerpicture2.jpg never really noticed it before but I never really looked to notice it either...lol...can some one tell me first what this is and second does it need a cover or did the cover also vibrate off as well...lol..

If you drive on and off a trailer. Make sure you dont get hung up on it. If you bend it your screwed. It wont shift into reverse. Some have done it with steep angled gates.

Hung it up on the trailer

Unfortunately I did just that. Do I need to replace the actuator and bracket or just the bracket? Thanks in advance.

If you just bent the bracket and didn't break the actuator. Try just replacing the bracket.

You might get away with just carefully bending the bracket back & returning it all to its 'pre-jacked' position... :dontknow:

Worth a shot tho! ;) And then if you still can't select reverse, you can look at buying just a new/replacement bracket.

Good Luck!

Too late. Lol. Already done that. Can’t find the sweet spot. Do I need just the bracket replaced or the actuator as well?

Would anyone mind if I pointed out that this is a stupidly engineered component? Seems like the elephant in the room.

Yes it is. BRP should have put a skid plate under it.

A skid plate is one way to go. But this thing hangs down ridiculously low. A skid plate would simply exaggerate the problem. Why take a fairly fragile component and place it where it is almost sure to get whacked? Surely, there must be a way to tuck it up into a more protected position. It's almost like they pasted this on as an afterthought. I frankly just don't get it. Engineers looked at this and said; 'Oh ya! This is a GOOD Idea!'
