Can I use these instead of soldering in Resistors?

I recently added the all the lights listed in my Signature to my 12 RTL. I only got the fast blink once I added the mirror strips. I have them currently disconnected but want to use them and also add another set connected to the rear signals to put under the passenger handles. I also bought a Underground Halo kit not added yet. It was suggested that I add resistors. I'm willing to throw a couple of bucks at an easier solution (never soldered before) if it's worth it....
Can I use one of these instead? If so, which one?

The also have something called a "Load equalizer". Is that the same as resistors (doesn't seem so, but need to ask)? The only light I've preplaced with LED was the Fender Tip Light. Everything else has been added.

You do not need resistors the slow the flash rate. There is a procedure to reset the flasher using the 4 way button. Search this site for the word "flasher" (not the naked kind either) and you will find the procedure.
I had the same problem when I installed the LED strips on my mirrors.

Thanks Bogie, but I tried the "procedure" when I added the lights, but it didn't work. I think because I have a '12 and that works on newer models.

The year of your spyder does not make a difference . Phil had a 2010 RT and added 100's of lights to it with no problems.
Check your connections for proper positive and negative wire connections. I added LED to my 2010 RT S with no problems.

So I added the mirror LED strips and replaced the front Fender reflectors with LEDs and added the flasher kit. My 2013 turn signal due flash faster but what is the big deal? I think it's more noticeable with a faster flash.

Only the 2014 and above have the procedure to calibrate the cluster flasher unit and fix the fast flash!

If you hook LEDS to the turn signals AT the connectors for the existing turn signals, add enough LEDs and you will get a fast flash PERIOD GUYS!

So first... you guys with 2014's and above, you cannot relate to this issue as you can calibrate it. 2013 and below cannot!

Phil must have done it another way to not get a fast flash on his 2012. But for sure on Phil's 2012 had he added TURN SIGNAL LEDS to the mirrors, saddle bags, and front fenders, (e.g. the tric-leds or Show chrome units) you will get a fast flash if you hook them up per the maker of those units! Again Phil must have done something different for the turn signals on his 2012 if he did not get a fast flash, or did not hook enough of them up to his turn signals to get there.

You guys with 2013 and below, I would be curious how many LED lights you added to turn signals. You can add some and not get a fast flash. But add too many and you will... BEEN THERE DONE THAT! And yes I had to add a resistor to at least one set to stop the fast flash.

Again, adding one strip like this probably wont induce a fast flash! I did not have a problem when I first got my Spyder and added exactly what you did.

Add more like front fender turn signal lights, saddle bag turn signal lights and eventually you will get a fast flash.
2014 and above can recalibrate! 2013 and below cannot.

I do not understand why this is so miss-understood?

Your example is a simple strip on each side and you are correct, it did not cause an issue. Did not for me when I did that too. Add more and you will see eventually when you do, it will cause a fast flash.

Not red -- the true color is amber, just looks red in the photo.

A relay may work but I do not know if the relay coil would make the cluster fast flash also. You would have to trial and error testing different relays with different induction values. Years ago I probably could have done the match e.g. Convert a resistive load to a coil inductance but I don't remember how to do it anymore and would have to study it again.

Good thpught on the coil vs resistor. I feel your pain remembering Circuits 401!!
