• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can I get GPS on my 2024 S2S 10.25" screen; or GPS Software/Hardware, Apples to Oranges, or maybe not...

Looks like we might not have to wait much longer. BRP has announced a features upgrade to include on-screen navigation for all machines with the 10.25” screen. I have a 24 RTL, and look forward to eliminating CarPlay for maps, since I constantly have connection issues with that, and Bluetooth. Anyway, a fix is on the way.

Do you happen to have a link, I can't find via google. Thanks

Thanks, sounds like they are bringing BRP Go to the Spyders... Hopefully better than the old BRP Go. I wish they would do Android Auto or better let system work with the adapters that are out there.

According to the link CopperSpyder posted:
New on-road navigation features on the BRP GO! mobile app will be coming out in Spring 2026! This solution will work seamlessly on both Android and iOS with no headset required.

It would have been great to read more about the retrofit they were talking about at the bottom of the message!
Note that the description says it is for ski-doo vehicles.
There's also a "Does this fit on my vehicle?" link on the webpage, so you can confirm it will not fit on your 3-wheeler.

It would be great to see option for the road machines, because depending on cell phone service does not work in some areas that I have found with this apple car play, it's too choppy for me and I am ready to pull the trigger on a Garmin, but if this option pops up, I may choose that!

I did have one location I rode too that I didn't have cell phone service. It was a narrow canyon.
Since most of the places I ride are in the US Midwest, which is basically a huge, flat plane, I haven't had any problems anywhere else.

If you're looking at a GPS system, look at the Garmin Zumo XT or Zumo XT2. Both are motorcycle specific GPS units, which means they have rubber like covers over the ports so you can seal them up when riding in bad weather.

It would be, or will be? This is coming for the 10.25” road machines, s as well.

I doubt they will release anything like this for the on-road vehicles, since Apple CarPlay works well on 2024 and later Spyders.
This particular product is physically designed to mount on a SKI-DOO.
The installation instructions are here.

I doubt you'll find any of the mounting points or wiring connections on the on road vehicles, but please tell us if you do.

Some/many navigation apps allow you to download maps so that navigation works without cell phone service. If you have maps downloaded and navigation stops, the issue is loss of GPS signals vice cell signals. Can happen in mountains etc even with Garmin.

A common misconception is that phones only use cell signals for location. That is incorrect, they use GPS chips embedded in the phone, and most then augment GPS with Cell data to enhance navigation. GPS is critical though to phones just as with Garmins.

I use MyRoute app, but you can download maps in other navigation apps as well

I've been scouring the net trying to figure out whether I to switch to Apple Carplay or find a workaround for my Android phone, being that I can't use my Android on my 2024 RT S2S. To make a long story short, while searching I came across a video explaining how BRP Ski-Doo can get GPS on their newer model sleds with a 10.25 inch screen. Evidently there is a GPS Embedded Maps Module available via the Ski-Doo site. I think it is the same Software that BRP is using in the Can-Ams. I'll post the short 3 min video link here and the link to the module. I remember reading in these forums about someone finding an adapter to what they thought went to the new 2025 back-up cameras. They posted pics. Anyway, if BRP can make it happen for the Ski-Doos with the same BRP software then it may be vailable for the Can-Ams. The adapter the Ski-Doo GPS Map Module plugs into is very similar to the adapter in those pics. Anybody ever heard of a GPS Map Module for these Can-Am Spyders?

You can now use AndroidAuto on your 2024 and up Spyder. I just posted the details here and on facebook.

And for clarification, it uses an add-on box that "converts" the connection from an Android phone into the Apple CarPlay protocols, so your bike thinks you have an Apple iPhone. About US $350 for the parts, and then doing all of the work to wire it into your Spyder.

Well, all I know is when the bride and I were down in Tenn, and NC last year on my old bike the Garmin never faltered a bit, but the brides apple maps blanked out quite a bit! Then when we got on the new bike, a 2025 S2S, and hooked up the Apple CarPlay, it didn't work well at all and messed with our headsets also, so I think I will be going in a different direction!

Not trying to argue or sell anything, but many don't realize that a phone is a higher capability than the Garmin. I was a Garmin user since the earliest days, but - anything Garmin does, I can do with a good phone, only better, as Garmin has fallen a little behind. I just know there has been misinformation of how a phone works on Facebook and boards like this, so I wanted to provide options

The Apple Map issue was likely not having maps downloaded onto the phone. There are also Nav apps far better than Apple Maps though.

The CarPlay implementation on the Spyder is subpar at best, I understand that fully. The newest Garmin is a nice unit.

That is wrong. Even the BRP site states that it’s coming for on-road vehicles. I’ve been working directly with BRP, through emails, to fix my connection issues with bluetooth/CarPlay for the last 6 months. I will ask about this tomorrow, but I’m sure they are tired of all the complaints of a system that is not near consistent enough for everyone to use regularly. Apologies if I’m confusing conversations, but there is no hardware to mount, just built in navigation via a firmware update later this Spring (as well as in the Go! app.)

The more of this stuff I read, the happier I am with my old Zumo 665 with XM Radio. It just works. No, it's not the latest and greatest (?) but it has not failed me on any of my cross country trips (LA to Washington D.C, Key West, and a lot of points in between). I stay with the 665 as it was the last model to support XM, and it plays mp3 files and supports Audible. I get weather as part of that deal. Not as good as the radar weather app on my phone, but if I look at the Garmin and it looks sketchy along my path, I can look at my phone and make more informed decisions. I also check Greg Rice's IBR Weather map for some really good information.

When and IF it comes to the 24 RT, I'll give it a try, but I'm not holding my breath.
