• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can Anyone ID This Bolt . . . and Where It Goes?

If that was laying up on the skidplate; gravity leads me to think that it's come from the frunk assembly... somewhere!
Since it's a Torx head; it's probably holding bodywork together somehow...
Mechanicals; seem to use conventional bolts...
Can you "De-Frunk" the bike, and do some further investigating? There's about six bolts that hold it in place...
Good luck, and happy hunting!

The closest I could find to a bolt that looked like it at the parts breakdown drawings had to do with the frunk lid. They had to remove my frunk to do the most recent 2013 service bulletin, in order to waterproof the electrical connections, so I'm hoping the mechanic dropped it and used a new bolt, rather than digging around, looking for it . . . I can find no places that seem to be missing something . . . if my frunk falls off, I'll let you know!

,,,,,, so I'm hoping the mechanic dropped it and used a new bolt, rather than digging around, looking for it . . .!

This is VERY likely the case. They dropped it and it was quicker for them to grab one out of the spare parts bin. I've been there and done that myself before.

:agree: My bikes often sound like a tray full of glasses getting thrown down the cellars stairs... :opps:
It's usually just the extra parts that are hiding under the bodywork! :D
usually...
