• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can anyone confirm the 2021 F3-S Rear Axle Nut Size?

Hi All,
I have tried searching for this as I'm sure it's been discussed.
Can someone confirm the rear axle nut size please, my machine is in storage so it's not easy to measure it.

Also do people replace the nut after removal or use loctite on it?

Regards Andrew (UK).

36mm socket to remove, reuse nut, no loctite.

The 36mm socket can be used on the filter cap also. Get a hex 36mm socket, not the 12 point. Will fit better for axle nut and plastic filter nut
Hi, yes I prefer 6 sided sockets too, less chance of slipping or rounding corners. Thanks again for everyone's input, socket ordered.

I am removing the rear wheel tomorrow, from my F3, is there anything in particularly common to the Spyders I need to be aware of? I shall remove the bottom shock bolt, so I can lower the swing arm to take the tension off the belt.

Anything when re fitting it?

I've removed loads of motorcycle rear wheels but never a Spyder.

TIA,
Andrew...

The only thing I've done is unhook the dog bone from the suspension sensor and got the brake assembly out of the way and removed the shaft and get it out of there! I believe you're going to have to deal with a fender in the works. The RTs are different than the F3s! I really don't see the need to removing the shock bolt!
