There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I need a hitch and harness for my F3S. BRP wants $500 plus. I see it on Amazon for the F3-T and F3-Limited for $181 and the harness is extra. But I can't find it on Amazon or anywhere for the F3s. Maybe the hitch on Amazon for the F3-T & Limited fits the F3s but does anybody know? :hun:

PHP:
"You won't get a hitch from BRP , they don't want you to tow with the F3S. Pierre has them, but they are more than $200."

I know about Pierre selling them and his web site uses the name of Can Am Accessories which I thought at first it was approved by BRP but your saying No they don't approve of a hitch being put on the F3S even though they install the wiring under the passenger seat for it as was shown on Pierre's You Tube video.

Can you guide me to the one for a F3T for $181?

Does anyone make a frame mounted hitch that does not attach to the swing arm? For any of the F3 or RT?

Yes, we have frame mounted hitch for our F3s - also had frame mounted on old st. They are made by Classic Industries in Yandina Queensland Australia. Sell for AUD 495 - so cheaper in USD but they are heavy (shipping cost?). Rated for 230kg, compared with 181kg (400 lbs) for the swing arm type. Classic Industries make them for the whole Spyder range. Lots are used here in Australa, very happily.

Maybe Bushtec do one?

You want a Hitch go to EBAY there are $249.00 and the harness is extra.
I have one on my F3-S
BRP didn't put any wires under the seat for a Hitch.

F3s trailer hitch

BRP Accessories' with Pierre on Youtube shows him installing the hitch and light haness which connects to the wiring under the passenger seat. I'd like to get his after market package but it cost over 480 which is over my budget. There are packages for the F3t and F3L on Amazon for 181 plus 70 or so for the harness and hitch. So, I'm hoping someone knows of a dealer somewhere that has them for 250 +/-. Just hoping.

.. If memory serves me .... I saw one that attached in the same place as the OEM bumper bracket ... the bracket and hitch where together with longer bolts ........... our togue weight is low and the trailer is also , so it should be OK ..... Mike

List for $245

That's the one I have!
Works great!
That one on trailer etc.com list for $245 but doesn't have the light harness added to it does it? I saw one on Pierre's youtube site for $149 which is perfect for wiring up to the tail light cable under the passenger seat but the price is a bit much.

I bought and use the Hitch from Canada bought my wiring harness from Vendor on this site but if you want it simple? Pierre's is the best way to go and it's very reasonable in price for what you get just plang and go!!

Bought my hitch from Trailerhitch, etc. in Canada

20170704_103135.jpg20170704_103046.jpgTheir hitch is supported by two fender bolts (2) and the axel bolt (1) which I think is a much better support than just the 2 fender bolts as seen on youtube and its about $150 less. The one I bought for my Spyder F3S cost $245 and the electrical connection for the trailer was $129 even less than youtube. My total was $374 with free ship'g and no tax. Best I've seen and as some of you may know I did quite a bit of research. Learned a lot along the way too about pulling trailers and maintaining them.
My wife and I went on a 2hr trip to Gulfport, Ms. from our home here in Belle Chasse, La. (on the westbank of New Orleans). It was very, very hot this 4th and we got red as a cheery riding home. All this to say I wish I had the trailer so we could have had more protection on the beach with a canopy and nice chairs to relax in plus a cooler, etc. All we had was a couple of cheap fold up hammock chairs and sunblock 50. But we still had fun and a learning lesson on long bike trips.
One thing that really made the trip more enjoyable was the 'Looks' from people everywhere we went which was a blessing since I like to talk about the Spyder and all. You'd think we were from outer space and just landed in our two front wheeled space ship. We saw lots of trikes and other really nice bikes but even those guys took a second look when they saw us cruising around the beach towns.
