There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Can Am Spyder F3 Auxiliary Light Kit Install Instructions missing

I just purchase the Auxiliary Light kit for my F3. The installation instructions are missing. I have read here that they are a pain in the butt to install and the instructions are not very good but at least it would be a starting point. If any one has the installation instructions could you send them to me. Also are there LED bulbs available for these?

Do yourself a huge favor and get yourself a 1/4 drive 12mm deep 'donor' socket and cut 2 grooves, one on either side to go over the 3 plastic locking pieces. The socket will go in from the backside to engage the tabs and enable you to lock them in with just a 1/4 turn.

That's the only part of the job that's difficult to do if you don't have the socket.

I can post a photo later this afternoon.

Yes please do because that was like reading French to me!!!! Did you use the stock bulbs. I would like to go to LED if available.

Once you see the instructions, it should be more clear to you. I also looked for LED bulbs but didn't have any luck finding any.

Thanks, got lucky and found the F3 Auxiliary lights on Ebay from a private owner in Peru for 200.00 that had sold his F3 due to a back injury. It looked like he had opened the box but not unwrapped the parts but the instructions were missing. Also pickup up the driver floorboards for another 200.00 from same seller.

It's actually a 1/4 drive 10mm or 3/8" deep socket. The grooves/slots are 1/8" wide and 3/16" deep. I hope this helps.

I used a Dremel tool with a cut off wheel to make the grooves.

I do but they are far from plug n play. The heat sink and fan hang out the back of the housing, Really would like to see XenonDepot come out with some LED modules for these with the flex heat sinks like the head lamps. If you want the info on what I rigged up to fit, I can dig it up.

once you have altered the socket, do you just use hand strength to turn the screws. I may wait a bit for the install to see if someone comes out with LED bulbs.

Do the AUX Light Kit come with light bulbs?

Does anyone know if these kits come with the Light Bulbs or do you have to purchase them separately and do you know what bulb it use?

They come with the H3 lamps installed. Standard 55w halogens. Yellow light compared to LED headlamps.

I used a 1/4 drive ratchet with a short extension to turn the black plastic retainers. Tabs on the retainers have to go over a small hump which is molded into the plastic frame they fit into. The detent keeps them in place.
