Can-Am dealers not hungry?

Before I purchased my 2022 RT, I called 3 dealers to make an appointment... #1 told me to call back in a couple days, because I had a trade and the sales mgr was off a couple days... #2 I actually went to this dealer, only he was too busy answering complaints about why parts weren't in and never even gave me a quote. He said he should be getting something in about a week or so to stop back then... #3 told me to call back because he was busy right now... So, I said screw Can Am!

Then we went on vacation about 200 miles from home and just on a whim, I stopped in at a dealer. He couldn't do enough for me! He gave me what I wanted on trade sight unseen, and we worked out a price! I had to wait about 3 weeks for delivery. There were no games played, everything went as negotiated - the trade, everything. Since then, I have referred 3 people to them, each of whom purchased, and each time they called and thanked me. Last time I was there, they did my oil change for free.

Some dealerships are there for you. Some are there for themselves. It's easy to tell the difference.

I really don't think the tariff is going to happen. I think it was a bargaining chip to get Canada's attention and make some changes. Which appears to already have been accomplished. Trump is simply leveraging the huge economic advantages our American market place affords us.

It's chess, not checkers...

:agree: x2 The tariff threats seem to me like a lot of "saber rattling." It was interesting how quickly Mexico and Canada both were quickly on the phone to get any differences solved. One actually took a flight down to Mar A Lago and had a sit down dinner with the incoming President. It was said that the talks "went well."

Mexico has also made some changes. I don't think requests were unreasonable. Just things that have gotten out of hand in the last few years.

Wow, that's an interesting story with a good ending. 200 miles from Eastpointe, MI can be Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, or ? Just trying to decrypt your preferred dealer ;)

I just checked my dealer's websites (they have four locations).

They have no 2025s.

The location I bought from has four new 2024s - two Ryker Rallys, one F3-S and one F3-T.
Another location has one 2024 F3-S and one 2024 RT Limited.
The other two locations are showing no 2024s or 2025s.

When I bought my Spyder back in April there was a comment the sales manager made about them having trouble getting any new inventory from CAN-AM, and that all of their stock was either on the sales floor, or still in the shipping crates in their warehouse.

HI Racoon,

I just checked my Can Am Dealer's website, and they have 3 x 2025 Canyons that coming in, and they are the following:

2025 Canyon XT Silver;
2025 Canyon Silver; and
2025 Canyon Redock Moss Green.

Also, the Canyons that are coming in don't have prices shown on the website.

They have a lot of 2025 ATV's in Stock, and a few 2024 Spyders in stock too.

Maybe it's because Vermont is closer to Canada than Tennessee, and they run out before they get this far South?

:roflblack:

Just purchased a Spyder RTL a couple of days ago. They did everything correctly. I was & still am very impressed with everything. Ask for Frank in Sales, Mosites Motorsports in North Versailles (near Pittsburgh Pa).
They have some really BIG promotions going on thru end of this month. Can’t hurt to give them a call.

Talked to a salesman that I know well at our local dealership. He said they are putting off taking delivery of the 25's as long as they can because they still have brand new earlier models that they need to sell first. Makes sense. When the 25's arrive, they will have to deep discount the earlier models to put some serious spread between the new and the less new. Which reduces their profit margin and dilutes their sales. It's a headache that they hope to avoid.

Racoon,

Yes, I think so. When do you folks in Tennessee get the 2025 Spyder models?

I have no idea, but I'm thinking it won't be anytime soon, as much as I'm curious about the Canyon and would love to see one in person.

I checked the dealer websites around here, and there are plenty of 2023's available (mostly Rykers), and about ten 2024's.

They need to take the cell phones from everyone that works there until they punch out to go home. It makes me sick to see that stuff going on. I do not know how any employer puts up with it!

Hi Racoon,

I checked the Can Am Dealership that I deal with, and they have several (13) 2024 Spyder models (RT, RTL, F3's, Rykers); and they have (1) 2022 Ryker 900 in stock.

I am also curious about the Canyon. The dealerships here have snowmobiles on their sales floors right now. I bet they will probably get the 2025 Spyder models sometime in February or March. For now, they still have a lot of snowmobiles to sell.

I checked again at the dealer where I bought my Spyder, and just asked for "new" vehicles for sale: 278

A whole bunch of off-road style 4-wheelers (quad runner types of vehicles) made by:

CAN-AM, CFMOTO, Polaris, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kayo, Vulcan, Hammerhead

Two battery powered e-bikes, along with 2-wheel motorcycles from Yamaha, Suzuki, CFMOTO, Benelli, Royal Enfield, and Kayo

And then you get into the more rugged 4-wheelers with seating for four (or more) with cages around the passengers, and some with windshields.

I also noticed one Can-Am Defender 6x6 XT HD10.

They also carry Sea-Doo watercraft, including Sea-Doo Switch Pontoon boats. I noticed that one model of the Switch seats up to 10 passengers.

The most expensive vehicle they have listed is an 2024 Polaris Ranger Crew XD 1500 NorthStar Edition Ultimate.
It has heat, AC, and defrost for the windshield and the doors have power windows.
It also has a front mounted 6,500 lb winch, seating for 6, and a "bed" behind the cab that can handle up to 1,000 lbs of cargo.

List price: US $49,499, current discounted price: US $47,883.

Sale must have fallen through, as I just checked and it's back to 10. :D

:hun: Not in the list you posted earlier/shown above... :dontknow:

See the number tally I added (*) I'm pretty sure that your list only adds up to 9; and I'm pretty sure that was the number Knizar was referring to...

Oh. Uh. Well... :opps:

Let me try that again.
Search the website.
Each bike shows in a little box, four boxes per row.
Two rows of four, and one row of two = 10

First row:
2024 Ryker Rally
2024 Ryker Rally
2024 Spyder F3-S
2024 Spyder F3-T

Second row:
2023 Ryker 900
2023 Spyder F3 Limited
2023 Spyder F3 Limited
2023 Spyder F3

Third row:
Spyder F3-T
Spyder RT

... counting again... One, Two, Three... MANY!

Could not agree more than with Ron and ARtraveler above. Common sense is coming back into play... (y)
